Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Eye Light For Technology Services (E.L.T.S. SOFT) collects through eltsjo.com and when you contact us, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023.
We keep what you send us so we can answer it, plus the basic technical records every website keeps. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
Eye Light For Technology Services, trading as E.L.T.S. SOFT, is a software and hardware company based in Amman, Jordan. We decide how and why the personal data described here is used, which makes us responsible for it under the law.
For anything about your data, write to info@eltsjo.com, or call or message us on WhatsApp at +962 79 500 5767.
This website is meant for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
2. What we collect
What you send us. When you request a demo, ask a question, send a tender or partnership enquiry, request a quote or open a support ticket, we receive what you enter: your name, company, email address and phone number, your message, and any answers about your business, such as the number of branches. A quote request also contains the products and quantities in your quote basket, and a support ticket the branch, the products concerned and how serious the problem is.
When you apply for a job, we receive your name, email address and phone number, the kinds of work you are interested in, any link you add, your message and your CV.
When you sign up for our newsletter, we receive your email address, and record the language and the page you signed up on, when you signed up and when you confirmed it from your inbox.
What we record with it: the date and time, the page you sent it from, the language you wrote in, and a reference number.
When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your number or address and what you tell us.
Technical data. Like any website, our server processes technical information about each visit (your IP address, your browser and device type, and the pages you request) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We also hold your IP address in memory for about ten minutes to limit how many forms can be sent in a row; it is not stored with your enquiry.
Analytics. Only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts the pages you view, without cookies and without building a profile of you. See the cookie policy.
What happens to a form after you send it is set out in What happens to what you send us.
3. Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, arrange a demonstration, and prepare and follow up a quotation, because you asked us to.
To install, deliver and support what you buy from us, under our agreement with your organisation.
To consider you for a role at ELTS, when you apply for one.
To send you our newsletter, when you asked for it and confirmed from your inbox. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw at any time.
To keep the records the law requires, such as accounting and tax records, and to keep the website working and secure.
We don't use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.
4. The data inside your ELTS systems
When ELTS software runs on your own servers, the business data in it (sales, stock, customers, accounts) stays on your servers, under your control. We access it only when you ask us to, for installation or support, and only for as long as the task needs.
When we host a system for you, where it is hosted and how long the data is kept are set out in your agreement with us, and we process that data only on your instructions.
For remote support we use AnyDesk. Our engineer sees your screen only after you accept the connection, and you can end the session at any time. AnyDesk carries the connection under its own terms.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.
We use a small number of providers: our email provider, which delivers the messages the website sends to our team, and, only if you accept analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits to the site. They use the data only to provide their service to us.
To send the newsletter, we give subscribers' email addresses to the email service that delivers it, which uses them only to send it.
We don't pass your contact details to manufacturers or distributors. When we need a supplier's price for your quotation, we ask for it against a specification, not against your name.
We may disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a public authority.
6. Data outside Jordan
Our email provider, and Cloudflare Web Analytics if you accept analytics, operate internationally, so some data, such as a message you send us or your IP address, may be processed outside Jordan. We use such providers only where the data is protected to at least the level Jordanian law requires.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries, demo requests and quote requests: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they lead to an order.
Orders, agreements and support records, including support tickets: for as long as our agreement lasts, and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax law requires.
Job applications and the CVs sent with them: 12 months after you send them, then they are deleted automatically.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, which deletes your address at once. A sign-up you never confirm is deleted after 30 days.
Our web server's technical logs: up to 90 days.
8. How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). What the forms collect is stored in a database on a server we manage, is backed up, and can be seen only by ELTS staff who sign in to the site's administration area with a password. CVs are kept in a separate folder that is never published on the website.
If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Personal Data Protection Unit as the law requires.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you whether we hold personal data about you and give you a copy; to correct it; to delete it, or stop using it, when there is no longer a reason to keep it; to object to a particular use; to send it to another organisation you name; and to withdraw any consent you have given, such as for analytics, at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect what was done before.
Write to info@eltsjo.com, preferably from the address you used with us, or call us. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We will acknowledge your request within one working day and complete it within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Unit at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the version and date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.
Write to info@eltsjo.com or call +962 79 500 5767, including to use any of your data rights. We reply in Arabic or English within one working day.
